KXIC isn’t just about learning; it's about experiencing education

A Message from Our Founder, Professor Christine Bond

Growing up in an underrepresented community in Michigan, as one of four children raised by a single mother, I experienced firsthand the challenges and gaps in educational opportunities for young minds eager to learn and grow. My journey was further nuanced by living with visual disability, a constant reminder of the hurdles that can seem insurmountable without the right support. Yet, it was through these personal trails that I discovered an undeniable truth: within each of us lies a unique, God-given gift, a piece of the Kingdom meant to be shared with the world.

This realization ignited a passion within me to create what I yearned for but never had: a nurturing environment that not only recognizes but celebrates the potential in every child, especially those often overlooked. This, Kids Excelling In College (KXIC) was born, not just as a program, but as a mission to unearth and cultivate the innate talents of our younger generation.

Our focus on K-12 graders, a vibrant group brimming with curiosity and potential, is intentional. It is at this pivotal age that the seeds of passion, purpose, and possibility need to be discovered and nurtured, setting the foundation for a future without limits. Through KXIC, we aim to create holistic individuals-nourishing soul, body, and spirit, by providing a supportive learning triangle that includes students, educators, parents and the community at large.

My vision extends beyond the boundaries of our immediate environment. In partnership with local community colleges, we aspire to establish sustainable ‘colleges’ worldwide, offering a roadmap for young explorers to embrace education from an early age. This global network of KXIC colleges will stand as beacons of hope, guiding lights for those seeking a path to personal an academic fulfillment.
